Attended Interlochen Arts Academy, Indiana University, Michigan State University, and BYU. Major teachers include: Rusty McKinney, Ava Ordman, Carl Lenthe, Charles Vernon, and Thomas Riccobono. Past principal trombonist of Cedar Rapids Symphony Orchestra and Arkansas Symphony Orchestra. Performances at numerous international jazz festivals. Member of BYU faculty brass quintet Brassworks. Member of trombone quartet Utah Trombone Authority. Debut solo CD - Collage. Primary teachers include Daniel Bachelder, Larry Zalkind, Murray Crewe, Brian Bowman, Scott Hartman, and Gail Wilson. Dr. Kimball's students have been winners or finalists at numerous international competitions.
